Much like Little Big Planet, this game’s look and feel are what initially piqued my interest, but the prospect of fantastic gameplay has proven equally driving. Though announced many months ago, the upcoming puzzle game Ilomilo was recently playable at PAX in Seattle. Wtf is Ilomilo, you ask? Its the cutest thing since sliced bread. Its also a complex puzzle game developed by Southend Interactive and published by Microsoft. The premise is very simple, but the execution gets increasingly difficult as you progress through the game. There’s two cute little things (presumably Ilo and Milo) who want to kick it old school. All you need to do is help them meet. In order to do that, you’ll need to move blocks, rearrange them, use them wisely, etc. The game can be played alone or with a friend. I know there is couch co-op, but I’m not sure about online support. Work together to complete each level! Its puzzles! Its cute! Its overuse of exclamation marks!!! Its yet another reason why XBLA is the unchallenged champion of the home arcade scene. This video should show you, far better, what my stupid words cannot.
